Defining channel aliases | NAGRAVISION Documentation Portal

OpenTV Video Platform supports the use of aliases for editorial channels. This enables client applications to search by alias as well as by channel name.

This is particularly useful for voice channel selection.

You can define aliases for an editorial channel in several ways:

In OpCon – see Manage channel metadata
When the channel is ingested (XML ingest) – see aliases in editorialChannel (editorial-based)
When the channel is ingested (using the CPM create editorial channel API) – see Creating an editorial channel
