Preview mode

Preview mode in Rails Builder enables you to visualize how layouts will look in the TV app. This is particularly useful when you’ve created a new template, made changes to an existing one, or if any layouts are part of an experiment.

To preview a layout:

1. Click the Preview button at the top right of the Templates screen.

2. If the layout is part of an experiment and you want to preview what a target will see, select the required Target Segment from the dropdown list.

3. Select the required Device Target from the dropdown list.

4. Select the required Device Type from the dropdown list.

5. For a view of how the layout looks in different device formats, use the tabs at the top of the screen:

   • Monitor

   • Tablet

   • Phone Landscape

   • Phone Portrait

6. To close the preview and return to the Rails Builder screen, click the blue Template button at the top right of the screen.
