Target a rail to a segment

Overview

You can target a rail to a segment so that only certain users can see it.

For example, you can set up:

• A rail that only users who are subscribed to a particular product can see

• A rail that is only displayed to users who are interested in football

Enabling segment targeting for a page

Prerequisites:

• The rail already exists.

• The segment already exists

To enable segment targeting for an existing rail:

1. From the OpCon homepage, click Rails Builder.

2. Find the page (template) that contains the rail that you want target to a particular segment.

3. Click on the layout in the right pane.

4. In the rail, click Edit and then click Segment Target.

5. Check the checkbox for each segment that the rail should target. (You can select multiple segments.)

6. Click Save.

7. Click Save to confirm.

A target label indicates that the rail is now targeted to one or more segments:
