Downloading the content and licence

To enable a content to be played offline, the client application must download both the content and the offline licence required to play it.

The content is the same as that used in streaming, but the client application should store the assets locally instead of playing them.

To get the licence for offline playback, the client application makes a request to CLM as described in Content authorisation. For content that is allowed to be downloaded, the licence will have its storable flag set to true.
