Pay-Per-View (PPV)

Pay-Per-View (PPV) enables consumers to purchase individual pay per view events.

To view the PPV page, select PRODUCTS from the top menu and  PPV.png   PPV in the left panel

Viewing PPV products

To view the details of a PPV product, select the required product and click Details .

To view the events in a PPV product, select the required product and click Events . 

You can reduce the search results using the Filter field.

Editing PPV product details

Use this to edit the details of a PPV product.

  1. Select the PPV product and click Details .

  2. In the right-panel, click EDIT .

  3. Referring to the Product details below, enter and select the required information.

  4. Update the custom details as required.

  5. Click the SAVE CHANGES button to save the changes.

Field

Description

Name

Enter a name for the PPV product.

Title

Enter a title for the PPV product.

Description

Enter a description for the PPV product.

Currency

Select the required currency for the PPV product.

Price

Enter the sale price for the PPV product.(23.50_Q4) Editing event details

Product Validity 

Enter or select the dates when the PPV product will be available.

Purchase Validity

Enter or select the dates when the PPV product will be on sale.

Download to Go

Select whether subscribers can download items to applicable devices.

Storage Duration

For downloaded content, the length of time that the content can be stored before expiring.

Storage Start Period

For downloaded content, the time within which the first download of an asset may occur.

Freemium

If Freemium is enabled, enter or select the dates and duration when the content will be available to view free.

Technical Types

Select the technical types applicable to the PPV product.

Device Class

Select the device types for the PPV product.

Creating PPV products

Use this to create a new PPV product.

  1. On the PPV page, click CREATE .

  2. Referring to the Product details above, enter and select the required information.

  3. Enter any custom details as required.

  4. Click the CREATE button to save the details.

The PPV product should now be available for content items to be added to it.

Enabling and disabling PPV events

PPV also needs to be enabled for the event and in the Global settings for the relevant channel.

Adding and removing events

Adding events

Use this to add events to a PPV product. For further details, see Adding and removing items.

  1. Select the PPV product and click Events .

  2. In the right-panel, click  MANAGE CONTENT .

  3. In the left-panel, locate the required events and click the relevant Add add_blue.png  icons. To add all the content items to the product, click ADD ALL .

  4. Click the SAVE CHANGES  button to save the changes.

Removing events

Use this to remove events from a PPV product. For further details, see Adding and removing items.

  1. Select the PPV product and click Events .

  2. In the right-panel, click MANAGE CONTENT .

  3. In the right-panel, locate the unwanted events and click the relevant Remove remove_red.png  icons. To remove all the content items from the product, click REMOVE ALL .

  4. Click the SAVE CHANGES button to save the changes.
