To end a segment targeting experiment:
-
Choose Segment Targeting from the Rails Builder dropdown menu.
-
On the Segment Targeting Experiments tab, click the required experiment in the list.
-
Click the End Experiment tab, where you can select the winning group and declare an outcome.
There are 3 options to choose from:
|
|
|
|---|---|
|
Inconclusive |
Select this option if the test was inconclusive or you want to end the experiment without declaring a winner. The experiment will be removed from ALL the rails that are assigned to it. |
|
Group A |
Select this option to declare Group A the winner. This will assign the rails in Group A to a new segment target with the same details as the experiment. The experiment will be removed from ALL the rails assigned to Group B. |
|
Group B |
Select this option to declare Group B the winner. This will assign the rails in Group B to a new segment target with the same details as the experiment. The experiment will be removed from ALL the rails assigned to Group A. |
-
Click End Experiment. If you declared a winning group, a permanent segment target is added to the Segment Targets tab, and the winning rails are assigned to it.
When a rail no longer has any experiments associated with it, it will be soft deleted.
Soft-deleted rails are not visible in the user interface on customer devices, but are still available in Rails Builder and can be restored.
